History/Biography


Collinwood13 is a musical venture from long time Philadelphia goth-music scenester John Ruszin. Spending the better part of a decade as the songwriter, guitarist, programmer, and web designer for a local independently signed band, John left to focus on a solo career in the winter of 2005. Collinwood13 erupted from the need to continue in the gothic genre, a place John felt he was deviating from in his old band. Trading guitar for microphone, Collinwood13 features Ruszin's dark vocals, creating an ambiance reminiscent of Euro-Goth meets Peter Steele with songs created for the dance floor.
