BIOGRAPHY

The band toExcess was founded 1999. In the following year the band recorded their first demo "No Rose without Thorns”. It was sold out a short time after releasing, so the CD had to be pressed again and was re-released with a different artwork – and again was sold out quickly.
After playing several successful gigs the band started 2002 with recordings for their second demo "A Rose Garden", but due to a major change in Line-Up the band decided not to release the EP but instead concentrate on writing new material with the new crew.
Finally, with a big CD-Release-Party, the long expected debut album "Here I Am" came out in May 2004. This release too was – especially on the energy-loaded Live-Gigs of the band – greatly appreciated by the audience.
In the following years toExcess played some really good shows (e.g. they qualified for two EMERGENZA finals) and continued to increase their fanbase. Unfortunately december 2007 saw another change in Line-Up, so toExcess had to replace vocals, one guitar and bass. However, as always taking hardships as opportunities, the band refused to give up. After recruiting a new talented guitarist the new EP "Phönix" was recorded. In Summer 2009 the band split up.
